"Teaching basic life skills to someone who's face is in a screen 24 hours a day felt impossible. I'm so glad we found CollegeEQ! My son now has more follow through ."

HOW IT WORKS

Through weekly coaching build skills and habits that translate to academic & personal success.

1

Weeks 1-2: Assessment + Goal Setting

We start with a self-assessment to understand a student’s executive function strengths, challenges, and current habits. Together, we identify priorities and set clear, actionable short- and long-term goals.

2

Weeks 3-8: Teach systems + Practice Consistently

Through weekly one-on-one coaching, students build practical strategies for organization, time management, task initiation, and follow-through. We meet them where they are and help them move past current obstacles.

3

Weeks 9-12: Transfer skills
+ Independence Plan

As coaching sessions conclude, we review progress, reinforce key skills, and plan to maintain the habits that are working. Students walk away with tools that move seamlessly from academic success to career readiness.

Typical engagement is 8–12 weeks (time-bound, not open-ended).

Examples of Outcomes:

  • Increased independence – Students learn to manage responsibilities and strengthen self-advocacy skills

  • Improved organization – Better systems for tracking assignments, deadlines, and materials.

  • Enhanced time management – Students build a realistic weekly plan, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines more consistently.

  • Less overwhelmed – Greater focus, emotional intelligence, and self-regulation.

  • Heightened goal-setting skills – Ability to set meaningful short- and long-term goals and take actionable steps to achieve them.

Thank you for sharing the list of possible accommodations to request for HPU. I shared it with the therapist and he's able to use the testing center and have extended time and class breaks. I really had no idea what to ask for. He refused accommodations before he started working with you. So frustrating! Clearly we're in good hands!! Thank you!
